Die BioTeZ Berlin-Buch GmbH ist ein auf biotechnologische Forschung und Produkte ausgerichtetes Unternehmen und wurde am 24. November 1992 aus mehreren biochemischen Gruppen der ehemaligen Akademie der Wissenschaften der in Berlin-Buch (heute Biotech Park Berlin-Buch) gegründet. Wichtige Kooperationspartner sind u.a. das Max-Delbrück-Centrum für Molekulare Medizin (MDC), das Friedrich-Löffler-Institut (FLI), das CNR Genforschungszentrum Paris, das RCMDT Moskau und viele globale Unternehmen der Biotechnologie und Pharmazie.
