BioTeZ offers a wide range of products and services in the field of Human Proteases Research, such as human MMPs (Matrix Metalloproteinases), human ADAMTS (A Disintegrin And Metalloprotease with Thrombospondin motifs) or human HtrAs (High temperature requirement factor A) to support drug development, especially therapeutic or neutralizing antibodies, antibody drug conjugates (ADC) or target screening and diagnostics, e.g. for preclinical phases, trials, pharmacokinetic (pk) and pharmacodynamic (pd) studies.
Proteases have relevance in the control of multiple biological processes in all living organisms. They regulate the activities of many proteins, modulate protein-protein interactions, create new bioactive molecules, contribute to the processing of cellular information and generate, transduce and amplify molecular signals. As a direct result of these multiple actions, proteases influence DNA replication and transcription, cell proliferation and differentiation, tissue morphogenesis and remodelling, heat shock and unfolded protein responses, angiogenesis, neurogenesis, ovulation, fertilization, wound repair, stem cell mobilization, haemostasis, blood coagulation, inflammation, immunity, autophagy, senescence, necrosis and apoptosis. Consistent with these essential roles of proteases in cell behaviour, survival and death of all organisms, alterations in proteolytic systems underlie multiple pathological conditions such as cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, inflammatory and cardiovascular diseases.
Our high quality proteins are produced in bacteria and insect cells (Baculovirus expression system) or are isolated from biological fluids.

Test kits, components and services for sensitive determination of protease concentration and protease activity fall within the scope of our Human Proteases Research. We combine the best elements of bead and ELISA technologies. This guarantees high sensitivity and specificity for many applications in various volumes and overcomes the problems caused by the interference of other proteins with the same molecular weight or the inhibition of specific protease detection due to the presence of an abundant amount of other proteins.
